Although plagued by incessant rain, organizers
say the Ginn Sur Mer Classic was a huge
success as more than 42,000 people attended
the October event at The Tesoro Club in
Port St. Lucie.
“We battled the weather all week,” said John Subers, tournament
director. “We had a great champion Daniel Chopra,
great crowds and great community support. The dedication
of the fans was phenomenal. The community showed it can
support a professional golf tournament and who knows
what the future will hold?”
The tournament marked the first time the Treasure Coast
