According to the formula used by
the Florida Sports Foundation, the Ginn
Sur Mer Classic brought $28 million to
the local economy. “Regardless of what
it did for us in hotel rooms, it raised
our profile across the nation. It was a
great opportunity for us to be able to
show what we have to offer in St. Lucie
County and to improve our image
locally,” said Odaly Victoril, marketing
and public relations specialist for St.
Lucie County.
“The community showed well,”
Subers said. “At Tesoro, all the ingredients
are there to host another significant
golf tournament.”
