Crosstown Parkway, when completed
on the west side of Interstate 95, will provide
a convenient way into Tradition for
residents of St. Lucie West and PGA
Village as well as for those who live north
and east of St. Lucie West.
A regional mall planned at the southern
end of Tradition on Becker Road is still in
the works, although no longer scheduled
for opening in 2011.
McCurry said the timeline for the
mall’s construction and opening is tied to
completion of the I-95 interchange on
Becker Road.
“Once details for the interchange are
finalized, we are confident the project will
move forward,” he said.
On the south side of Tradition Parkway
opposite The Landing, bulldozers are
busy with site work in a new research
park for construction of biotech firms
such as Torrey Pines Institute for
Molecular Studies, and an adjacent shopping
and commercial center known as
Village Pointe. Originally scheduled to
