restaurant, which offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, take
out and catering, is a relative, well, that just what the
Alarcons intended.
“We want guests to feel like they are coming to
our little house for dinner.” says Lavive. ”We want
them to feel comfortable here.” Of course, on any
given day or night, the small dining room is filled
with some of their relatives, too. And on Saturday,
the evening is just one big party, complete with
live entertainment.
Several doors down from Mi Casita, is El
Cubanito, owned by the Estrada family, former
owners of Don Ramon, a Cuban restaurant in
Stuart. Osmany Estrada, general manager of the
restaurant, is the young man who runs the front, with
Chef Alvaro Ramirez creates International specialties at Mi Casita.
