The Salvation Army’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Do you have immediate needs because of the coronavirus pandemic?:Yes
What are they?:The Salvation Army helps people in need with things like food, shelter and emergency financial assistance. Our food pantries in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties are in need of food to meet the increased demands. We are in need of financial contributions to accommodate the increase in requests for assistance with rent, utilities and prescriptions.
Because of the closure of our thrift stores, our income stream for our homeless shelters has also been severely impacted. Donations are needed to ensure we can continue to serve these most vulnerable members of our community.
How can people donate?:To arrange for a drop off of donations such as food or other in-kind items, please call 772-288-1471 as our office hours may have changed. To make a financial donation, please mail to The Salvaiton Army Administrative Offices, 821 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Stuart, FL 34994.
What kind of other specific help is needed?:Our homeless shelters are always in need of laundry detergent and toiletries such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream and razors, and toothpaste and toothbrushes. We also appreciate donations of packages of new socks and underwear for men, women and children.
