Mission: The Salvation Army’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
What are they?: The Salvation Army helps people in need with things like food, shelter and emergency financial assistance. Our food pantries in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties are in need of food to meet the increased demands. We are in need of financial contributions to accommodate the increase in requests for assistance with rent, utilities and prescriptions.
How can people donate?: Food drop-offs can be made at any of our social services offices. Items such as gently-used furniture, clothing and household items may be dropped off at either of our Family Stores. Financial contributions may be mailed to The Salvation Army, 821 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Stuart, FL 34994.
What kind of other specific help is needed?: Our homeless shelter is always in need of laundry detergent and toiletries such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream and razors, and toothpaste and toothbrushes. We also appreciate donations of packages of new socks and underwear for women and children.
