The Elliott Museum wows guests with its renowned car and baseball collections, changing exhibits, and galleries featuring local history and the works of local artisans; the House of Refuge transports visitors back in time, depicting what life was like for the keeper and his family in turn-of-the-century Florida. Both museums showcase a wide variety of events, exhibits, collections, and lectures, all designed to engage the interests of people who live in and visit Florida’s Treasure Coast.

Vero Heritage, inc
Address: 2140 14th Ave
32960
City in which main office is located: Vero Beach
Are you a 501(c): Yes
Mission:

Vero Heritage Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to Preserving, Educating and Celebrating Vero Heritage.

Do you have immediate needs because of the coronavirus pandemic?: Yes
What are they?: Once on the city’s demolition list, the Heritage Center is owned by the City of Vero Beach. Since 1991, the nonprofit Vero Heritage, Inc has had the privilege of stewarding the venue, at no cost to the City. To be associated with a place where so many memories have been made for 85 years is an honor.

And now, the building is shut down.

Being shutdown means the nonprofit has already lost about $17,000 in potential income; more will be lost.

It also means refunding just under $5,000 in cancellations; more refunds will be issued.

Vero Heritage, Inc is struggling.

So much more than just a building, this place resonates with our community. A giving page has been created to help during this downturn and can be found on the nonprofit’s web page: veroheritage.org

Please know that no matter what, whether you can support us now or later, we can’t wait to open our doors once again to your meaningful events real soon.

Thank you for your support for over 85 years!

Campus Life Ministry

Building B 205-6

City in which main office is located: Vero Beach
Are you a 501(c): Yes
Mission:

YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

Do you have immediate needs because of the coronavirus pandemic?: Yes
What are they?: We are in need of donations to upgrade our online zoom account and we are also in need of a new laptop for our High School Ministry Director. A new laptop will give her the ability to stay connected with our lost and hurting students.
How can people donate?: Visit www.givetoyfc.com to give online or mail checks to: YFC, PO Box 651455, Vero Beach, FL 32965
What kind of other specific help is needed?: We are in need of prayer for our students. Although many believe that kids are loving time off school, this time has been incredibly difficult for our Campus Life students. There is a large population of adolescents whose homes in regular life are prisons and school is their escape.  In this time, they find themselves trapped in unhealthy environments and have very little resources to help them navigate their situations.  Please pray for the students of Indian River County. Pray that they would press into God during this time and reach out for support where it is needed.
