Here are just a few examples of local initiatives and projects the EDC has assisted with:
California Closets is a premier manufacturer and distributor of custom closets, organizers and home
storage systems. The company is currently expanding their distribution capacity with 10,000 square feet
of new warehouse space in Fort Pierce.
D&D Welding is a structural steel and metals fabrication and erection company located in Fort Pierce
servicing the Orlando to Key West market and beyond. The company has expanded production with over
2,300 square feet of new space at their existing 40,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
Indian River Spirits is a new to St. Lucie County manufacturer establishing operations for Limoncello
production. The company is constructing a new 20,000 square feet of production, assembly and distribution
facility space and has planted over 1,000 lemon trees to support production.
Legacy Park at Tradition by the Sansone Group is a new 300-acre industrial park slated for Tradition
Center for Commerce. This new park will be comprised of over 3 million square feet of space for warehouse,
distribution, manufacturing and multi-tenant high value job creation.
The Ready to Work Boot Camp pivoted to a virtual model this summer in partnership with St. Lucie
Public Schools and the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County. The interactive program connected the
three teen clubs with the manufacturing and distribution industries providing virtual facility tours and a
Q&A session with company leadership. The program is a continuation of our Ready to Work Boot Camp
initiative connecting academia with industry for talent pipeline development in the high schools.
Recover St. Lucie offers non-refundable grants up $10,000 to aid in economic recovery efforts to
qualifying small businesses in St. Lucie County impacted by COVID-19. For eligibility information, visit
