(RE)DEVELOPMENT IN MARTIN COUNTY
The Martin County Board of County Commissioners recently
approved the adoption of a new Community Redevelopment Element
to its Comprehensive Growth Management Plan to encourage
in-fill development and redevelopment in the County’s six
community redevelopment areas in Jensen Beach, Rio, Old Palm
City, Hobe Sound, Golden Gate and Port Salerno.
“This is great news for local property owners and investors
who were seeking clarification by the County for these key areas,”
stated Susan Kores, manager of the Office of Community Development.
“Now that the high-level goals for the CRA’s are in place,
we will update the Land Development Regulations to enact this
vision and the guidelines to inspire new redevelopment projects
that will benefit all parts of our community.”
