Working with St. Lucie County, the cities of Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie, and the State of

Here are just a few examples of local company expansions the EDC has assisted with:
City Electric Supply/TAMCO, currently under construction, will anchor the Tradition Center for
Commerce with their state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility. The addition of
50 new jobs and retention of 210 existing jobs with City Electric Supply enabled the City of Port
St. Lucie to obtain a Florida Job Growth Grant for $3 million to help fund the construction of
Tom Mackie Blvd., which will enable access to over 100 acres of industrial development along
the I-95 corridor.
OCULUS Surgical, an ophthalmic surgical instrument maker based in Germany with offices in St.
Lucie West, also announced expansion into a new facility in the Tradition Center for Commerce
and the addition of 50 new jobs.
Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company, a Fort Pierce company for over 20 years, acquired
an existing site in Fort Pierce for expansion as they continue to grow. Natalie’s produces and
distributes more than 22 premium juices and teas to 32 states and 42 countries. Their expansion
assisted the City of Fort Pierce in obtaining a Florida Job Growth Grant for $1.9 million to help
fund construction of a master wastewater system that will serve area businesses.
Maverick Boat Group built a new 106,000 s.f. facility and is in the process of hiring over 100 new
employees. Maverick was recognized with the Governor’s Award for Job Creation.
ABC Medical Home Supply relocated its headquarters to Port St. Lucie and entered into an
internship program for Allied Health students with St. Lucie Public Schools.
Pursuit Boats, recently acquired by Malibu Boats, will construct a 221,000 s.f. facility and add 200
new jobs. St. Lucie County, Fort Pierce Utilities Authority and the EDC worked collaboratively on
expedited permitting, receiving site plan approval in just six weeks!
Treasure Coast International Airport has begun construction of a new 31,000 s.f. MRO Hangar
which will complement the airport’s thriving cluster of 50 aviation and aerospace tenants. While
the Port of Fort Pierce will soon see mega-yacht repair and refit work begin with Derecktor
Shipyards and Fort Pierce Yacht and Ship operations slated to begin.
