SOUTHERN EAGLE DONATES $3 MILLION FOR STUDENTS
Fort Pierce-based Southern Eagle Distributing has contributed
more than $3 million over the past year to the Step Up for Students
program that provides scholarships to students a private schools.
“We here at Southern Eagle are passionate about giving back
to the community that we serve,” says Peter Busch, long time
resident of Indian River County and President/Owner of Southern
Eagle Distributing. “We are proud to have an organization
that fosters a culture of human compassion and understanding.”
With the help of organizations like Southern Eagle Distributing,
Step Up For Students is able to send close to 35,000
Florida students to schools they may not have otherwise been
able to attend. The Southern Eagle funding has provided scholarships
for several hundred students.
Step Up For Students, also known as the Tax Credit Scholarship
Program, allows companies like Southern Eagle Distributing
to redirect a large portion of its excise taxes to student
scholarship funds.
