At the Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, spokesman Oscar
Sales said three big musical productions are planned, thanks
to the Patron Producers, a select group of theater patrons
who underwrite the costs and in return get to attend auditions
in New York and take part in pre-show activities.
“Last year 34 people signed up to be patron producers,” he
said. “This year we capped it at 40. People have such a good
time — they can go to auditions and be in the room as we
cast for the shows; they can be there for the first run-through
without sets or costumes; and they are part of opening night. >>
