Stuart Main Street Manager Thondra Lanese says the Stuart
Christmas Parade is one of the few lighted parades that takes
place entirely after dark. Starting at 7 p.m., the 51-year-old
parade will include about 60 floats traveling three miles from
Stuart Middle School down East Ocean Boulevard to Monterey
Road. The theme this year is “It’s a Wonderful World.”
The Stuart parade is so popular that floats are already being
booked for next year because this year’s parade is full.
At McKee Botanical Garden in Vero Beach, on Dec. 15-18,
from 6-8 p.m., families will enjoy a traditional old-fashioned
Christmas treat with holiday lights and decorations, Mrs.
Claus’s candy shop and the popular large-scale model trains
set up by volunteers called The Train Guys. >>
