This year marks Karen Kane Interiors’
39th year. Beginning as Bed Bath
Kitchen, a small linen shop, the
business has grown to 2500 square feet.
The store, one block from the Fort
Pierce Marina, is in the historic Fee
Hardware Store on the corner 2nd St
and Avenue A. Winner of the People's
Choice for Best Accessories, you'll find
the shop packed with lamps, mirrors,
art work, furniture and just about
everything for your home décor.
“We’ve come a long way,” Karen
laughs. “Over the course of 39 years of
offering decorating advice with new
clients coming in via word of mouth, I
am still amazed at the success.”
“Most people see the shop, walk in
and are surprised because they’re not
expecting to find it as full as it is. The
store is my passion. I enjoy going to
shows to find new and interesting
accessories to keep it changing.” Many
of our customers have made us a destination
every time they’re in town. It’s a
great feeling when people tell you how
much they like the shop."
Karen Kane, a licensed designer, has
used her skills to decorate many homes,
yachts, offices, and even condo buildings
in our area. She is assisted by
Bobbie Hopkins (38) years and Tracy
Williams (13) years.
Karen says putting the client first is the
key to her success. “It’s really about the
client. I decorate for them and strive for
100% satisfaction. God gave me an
innate sense of proportion and color
coordination. It’s a gift — not something
you can learn. I can’t sing or play the
piano, but I can put things together well.”
