arts including voice and piano.

as perfect – but it’s even better than that, he
said. He now has 20/15 vision, meaning he
can see at 20 feet what others see at 15 feet.
“It took about eight minutes to change my
life,” he said. “I still can’t get over it. When I
got my first pair of sunglasses without a
prescription – it was a great feeling.”
Fier’s first patient for corrective vision
surgery was his wife, Janet, 11 years ago.
“She was scared,” he said. “We did one eye,
and then three months later, we did the other
eye. She still has 20/15 vision.”
