Michael and Rhonda Horowitz’s dream of living on a golf
course became a reality eight months ago when the family,
with daughters Rachel Bella, 9 and Hannah Grace, 7, moved
into their new home at the Indian River Club in Vero Beach.
Unobstructed views of the golf course and a constant breeze
from the nearby Atlantic sets the casual yet elegant mood of
the home. “It is so private and peaceful,” said Michael, a
Vero Beach lawyer. “We often see otters, lots of bird life and
just the other day, baby sand hill cranes.”
The old Florida style home took a year to complete.
Situated on the 11th green, the 4,300-square-foot home
(under air) blends in beautifully with the low-country-style
golf community, a designated Audubon sanctuary. “We
worked closely with our builder, Ed Reilly of Reilly
Construction & Development in Fort Pierce, architect,
Gregory Anderson in Boca Raton and our interior designer,
Pat Williams of Howard’s Interiors in Stuart,” said Rhonda,
a stay-at-home mom. “I’ve worked with Pat for 10 years
now. She did our last home in Fort Pierce. She knows my
style so it was a great experience decorating this home with
her.”
Michael said the house blends two styles. “Rhonda is very
elegant and her style is more formal,” he said. “I tend to be
more laid back and I think our house reflects that feeling —

The Horiwitzes’ home faces the Indian River Club golf course, a designated

dining area, large armoire with TV, cabana bath and outdoor shower and
plenty of comfortable furniture.
