102 On the Scene
Mel Rothberg, chief operating officer of The Vaccine and
Gene Therapy Institute (VGTI) honored this year’s VGTI Bio
Ball sponsors at a sunset reception at the home of Ray and
Ellyn Stevenson in Sewall’s Point. Top sponsors for “Making
a World of Difference” were AT&T and UBS. Joining Rothberg
in thanking all corporate sponsors were Bio Ball co-chairmen
Bob and Amy Brunjes, Brian and Melissa Powers and Larry
and Charlotte Pelton. The black-tie gala held on the terrace of
the institute benefited VGTI’s lifesaving cancer and infectious
disease research programs.
